Why

Assessing your results, implementing corrective action and celebrating success are all key success factors to reinforcing the change that impacts your user community, and a reinforcement plan that ensures continued adoption needs to be implemented and monitored to ensure employees do not slip back into their old ways of working.

When

The reinforcement plan is created pre-Go-Live in the Deployment phase and updated Post Go Live in the Support Phase.

How

As part of reinforcing and sustaining the change that impacts your user group you will need a method to identify and measure resistance. Several strategies to gather data through employee feedback, supervisor input and compliance audits can provide the data to assist Managers with analyzing and implementing corrective action to ensure full adoption of the changes.

The methods used to track these measures include:

  • Carrying out compliance audits on new processes and job roles
  • Analyzing usage and utilization reports
  • Gathering employee feedback through performance and one-on-one meetings
  • Measuring the number of help desk calls and requests for support
  • Observing behavioural change in employees impacted by the change
  • Conducting employee satisfaction surveys and analyzing the results

In order to sustain the momentum of user adoption, these activities should be continued post go live as part of your reinforcement strategy:

  • Celebrating Successes (See Communication Plan)
  • Developing and delivering Refresher Training for existing users and Onboarding Training for new users (See Training Plan)

If you require assistance with developing your Reinforcement Plan, or with one of the Reinforcement or Sustaining Change activities (Communications, Training) please contact your Sparkrock Project Manager to arrange a needs assessment meeting.
