This policy outlines the lifecycle of Sparkrock 2016, the availability of a final service pack and changes to Sparkrock 2016 Diamond support. This is a follow-up to the last and final full release of Sparkrock 2016 version 9.09 that was released April 26, 2019.

The below represents Sparkrock’s updated Sparkrock 2016 Warranty Policy.

Warranty Policy

  • Sparkrock provides a warranty on all standard features of Sparkrock 2016 for a period of two years after the latest full release.
  • This warranty is limited to the hotfix remediation of Severity 1 and Severity 2 product defects for any features that can be demonstrated to not be performing as originally designed and/or no longer support a minimum level of regulatory or legal compliance for a current Sparkrock 2016 customer.
  • In instances where a reported defect is found to be related to a bug, defect or issue that exists within the underlying Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform of Sparkrock 2016, Product Management will submit the issue to Microsoft and provide them with the necessary information to help them resolve it.  However, as Sparkrock does not have direct control over this platform, we cannot warrant resolution of this defect outside of the timely application of any fix provided by Microsoft.
  • In instances where a reported defect is found to be related to a bug, defect, needed product update or issue that exists within the underlying Serenic platform, Product Management will work through the issue as best as possible. However, as Sparkrock does not have direct control over this platform, we cannot warrant resolution of this defect.
  • The last and final full release of Sparkrock 2016 [version 9.09] was released on April 26th, 2019.  Therefore, the warranty service end-date for Sparkrock 2016 has been set to May 1st, 2021. This date will align our warranty policy with Microsoft’s mainstream support end date for Dynamics NAV 2016.
  • Due to the warranty service end-date of Sparkrock 2016, the current Diamond Support plan will end on May 1st, 2021.   Prior to this date, Sparkrock 2016 customers will be offered the opportunity to enroll in an optional Extended Support Program in order to ensure that they have continued support for their solution. Extended Support Program will only be available for customers on version 9.09 or 9.09 SP1. For customers on product versions older than Sparkrock 2016, support can be obtained through a separate Managed Service Agreement or on a Time and Material basis.
  • The final service pack for Sparkrock 2016 [9.09 SP1] has been released.  It is recommended that customers apply this update at their earliest convenience.   Note that this update will require the acceptance of NAV 2016 CU39 and migration to the modern build of Employee Center that runs on IIS and requires Azure Active Directory.  Application of this update will not change the final warranty service date listed above.
